Your child must be at least 3 years old on or before August 31 to apply for Preschool Programs

No. Your child does not have to be 100% potty trained to apply for Preschool Programs

No. Transportation is not provided for Preschool Programs.

Yes, Attendance is crucial to your childs success in the program. Missing too many days can result in expulsion from Preschool Programs.

No. For Preschool Programs your child does not have to attend their home school, they may attend Preschool Programs at any school site. 

Your childs health, dental and immunization records must be turned in before 30 calendar days from the first day of attendance. Failure to turn in all required documents will result in dismissal from Preschool Programs.

Most children who have never been in childcare adapt very well in Preschool Programs.

Preschool Programs only offer wrapcare at the following classrooms:

Hibriten Early Learning Lab and South Caldwell Early Learning Lab.

These classroom hours are 7:15-4:15 Monday-Friday.

Preschool Programs hours vary by school and program. 

Our NCPK classrooms operate on a 6.5 hours day.

Each classroom can vary but most rooms operate between 7:45a – 2:15p.

Our Jumpstart Program operates on a half day schedule.

Monday and Wednesday 8:00 a-10:30a

Tuesday and Thursday 8:00a – 10:30a

OR 

Monday and Wednesday 11:30a - 2:00p

OR 

Tuesday and Thursday 11:30a – 2:00p

Our Rising Stars Program operates on a half day program for four weeks during the summer. 

Rising Stars hours are normally 8a-12p

No. Currently, lunch is free and provided to preschool age children by a grant. Preschool Programs do not allow packed lunches because of allergies in the classroom. 

NCPK classroom children are provided breakfast, lunch and a snack.

AM Jumpstart classroom children are provided breakfast and a snack.

PM Jumpstart classroom children are provided lunch and a snack.

Nothing. Preschool Programs provides everything your child needs for preschool. If you would like your child to have a bookbag you may purchase one for them.

Your teacher may have a wishlist that you can review at openhouse.
