Preschool Program

Caldwell County Schools Preschool Program is not a traditional preschool or daycare. As an integrated preschool, our goal is to serve the needs of all students in an inclusive setting. The blended approach provides a tremendous benefit for children to develop strong language, play, and social skills. This design provides a wonderful opportunity for all children to participate and experience growth.

Caldwell County's 5 star rated preschool classrooms are staffed by a certified birth-kindergarten teacher and highly qualified teacher assistants. The Creative Curriculum for Preschool incorporates areas of learning in literacy, math, technology, social-emotional development, and the arts every school day.

Preschool Class Formats

Classes are designed to best meet the needs of all students. Typically developing children must be at least 3 years old by the first day of school and may not be eligible for kindergarten. Children applying for NCPK slots must be age 4 to be eligible. 

Tuition for children who enter at various points throughout the year will be prorated.

• Class sizes are limited to serve 18 students.
• Preschool classes follow the Caldwell County School Calendar.
• Hours of attendance may vary at each school.
• Tuition for the preschool program is competitive.  
• Applications for these slots may be obtained from the Preschool Office.
